Dieses Jahr hat mir endgültig klar gemacht, dass es so nicht weitergehen kann. Daher fange ich noch einmal ganz von vorn an.

Restart
This year finally made it clear to me that things cannot go on like this. So I’ll start all over again.

Mein Onkel Günther wurde von meiner Großmutter entweder „Saubär“, „Schweinderl“ oder „Ferkel“ gerufen, weil er sich seit seiner Jugend nur selten die Haare geschnitten hat und, zugegeben, manchmal nicht gut riecht. Trotzdem kann ich meiner Großmutter nur eingeschränkt recht geben.

Ist Ihnen schon einmal aufgefallen, dass die Frucht der kleinen roten wohlschmeckenden Radischen so aussieht wie ein großer weißer wässriger Radi, den man aus mir unerfindlichen Gründen im Biergarten als Brotzeit anbietet? Beim homo mehr oder weniger sapiens ist das genau umgekehrt. Als Kind schaut er aus wie ein Mensch, klein und rund und schön anzusehen. Ausgewachsen jedoch hat er sich in ein langweiliges bleiches Gemüse verwandelt, das lätschert herumliegt und darauf wartet, weggeschmissen zu werden.

Die meisten Kreise fanden es sehr befremdlich, dass ihr Kreiskultur-Vorsitzender auch Vertreter der Quaderkultur, der Achteck-Kultur und der Stangen-Kultur zum geselligen Beisammensein eingeladen hatte. Immerhin machten sich die Banausen nützlich.

Faux pas

Als mein Cousin Albert neulich den Eltern seine neue Freundin Waltraut vorstellte, hätten diese endlich verstanden, weshalb Albert von ihr immer als der „Großkopferten“ gesprochen habe. Dabei komme die Waltraut aus einer ganz normalen Familie und sei überhaupt nicht überheblich. Dumm sei nur, dass ihr Kopf nicht durch die Tür gepasst habe und man ihr Kaffee und Kuchen darum nach draußen auf die Straße reichen musste. „Aber mei“, meinte Alberts Mutter, „wo die Liebe eben hinfällt.“

When my cousin Albert recently introduced his new girlfriend Waltraut to his parents, they finally understood why Albert always referred to her as the “big head”. Waltraut comes from a completely normal family and is not at all arrogant. The only thing is that her head did not fit through the door and that she had to be handed coffee and cake outside on the street. „Well,“ said Albert’s mother, „wherever love falls.“

Wer wie ich heute keine Zeit hat, den Morgen in den Bergen zu genießen, muss sich eben mit so etwas begnügen.

Alpenglow
If you like me don’t have time today to enjoy the morning in the mountains, you have to be content with something like that.

Es ist gut, dass man Neonazis dabei hilft, ihr extremistisches Umfeld zu verlassen. Noch besser ist, dass nun endlich auch jemand daran gedacht hat, den Kleintieren beim Ausstieg zu helfen.

That’s right!
It is good to be able to help neo-Nazis to leave their extremist environment. It is even better that now someone has finally thought of helping the small animals to get out.
