Manche Menschen haben keine Lust, sich an Regeln des Anstands zu halten. Das ist wirklich keine Neuigkeit, das war schon immer so und kaum zu vermeiden. Dass nun aber auch die Kunst im öffentlichen Raum beginnt, sich daneben zu benehmen, haben wir mit Sicherheit dem schlechten Beispiel dieser Leute zu verdanken. Bisher kam es nämlich höchst selten vor, dass ein Kunstwerk wie dieses hier in Kopenhagen von seinem Sockel steigt und sich dann in aller Öffentlichkeit an einer Hauswand erleichtert. Ekelhaft! Und nun stellen Sie sich bitte vor, die Häuser selbst täten ein Gleiches!
Where will it all end? – Some people have no desire to observe the rules of decency. That is hardly news; it has always been the case and is all but unavoidable. Yet the fact that public art is now starting to misbehave as well is surely down to the bad example set by such people. After all, it has been extremely rare—until now—for a work of art like this one in Copenhagen to step down from its pedestal and relieve itself against a building wall in full view of the public. Disgusting! And now, just imagine if the buildings themselves were to do the same!
