Da ein Verbot der AfD die Nazis in ihren Gefühlen verletzen würde und darum nicht möglich ist, musste ein anderer Weg gefunden werden, mit der Bedrohung der Demokratie umzugehen. Daher wurden die AfD-Abgeordneten verpflichtet, vor Beginn der Bundestagssitzungen ihre Braunhemden ab- und ihre Charaktermasken anzulegen. Die Anschaffung von Umkleidekabinen kommt den Steuerzahler auch viel billiger als das langwierige und umständliche Verbot der Partei.
