Neulich im Geschichtsunterricht ist mir ein Schüler so dermaßen auf die Nerven gegangen, dass ich ihm wegen fortgesetzter Lehrkraftzersetzung erst ein Referat über den Nationalsozialismus aufgebrummt und es ihm aber sogleich wieder erlassen habe, da eine Jugend, die so respektlos und autoritätsresistent ist, mir nicht wenig Hoffnung auf eine friedliche Zukunft gibt.

The other day in history lessons a student got on my nerves so badly that I gave him a lecture about National Socialism due to continued teacher disintegration only to exempt him from it immediately, because a youth which is so irreverent and resistant to authority gives me more than a little hope for a peaceful future.
