News from the Forest – Trees can truly serve as role models for us in many ways: they make no noise, do not smoke, and burn no gasoline, because they have no desire to constantly change their location. They breathe, grow, and shed their leaves in autumn so that hedgehogs can hibernate beneath them; and when they eventually grow old and frail, a young tree grows up to provide them with a little support for the rest of their days.

Forest News – A forest spirit watched me the other day while I was hiking in the woods. That is certainly his right; after all, I am the outsider there. So, I pretended not to notice a thing. As a city dweller, I appreciate not being pestered by the forest’s inhabitants and not having anyone try to sell me something. In such rare moments, you really ought to just keep your trap shut.
