Im Gasthaus (4)

„Kinderteller kostet mehr als Seniorenteller! Unverschämtheit. Hab ich einen Goldesel?“

At the inn – „Children’s dishes cost more than seniors‘ dishes! Disgrace. Do I have a cash cow?”

Fake News

Fake news – Even after sitting on that bench, I doubt Falco is still alive, but I can confirm he sticks. (Sorry for that)

From the family album – A distant cousin was always the center of attention at children’s birthday parties because she was so sensationally stupid that even an entertaining game like hide-and-seek could become a tough affair.

Nichts Neues von Nobel (1)

Alfred van Gogh

In Alfred Nobels 100.

Nothing new from Nobel – In 1996, the 100th year of Alfred Nobel’s death, I took part in an exhibition at the Swedish consulate in Munich with others from the circle of Rendsburg artists. For this occasion we made some sheets with references to Nobel and of course usually something exploded. Not here, but I tried to be a copyist.

Ordeal – Fortunately, foie gras is now outlawed. Most people know that making this product is an ordeal. It takes weeks and months before such a goose is stuffed, and quite a few goose stuffers have already contracted tendonitis! However, what few people know is that in a small town in Burgenland, excellent dragon foie gras has been produced since the Middle Ages. The dragons are not yet fully grown and therefore relatively easy to stuff.

O tempora!

O tempora! – Apparently everything has to be made into a ‚challenge‘ these days. On the other hand, I can understand that most people are overwhelmed with something as simple as counting to 12. I’m a teacher and witness it every day. (on the beer mat it says „drink beer, cross it out and see who drinks more“)

Abi 23

Exams 23 – The written final exams in German language and literature were boring again this year, at least for me, which is why I passed the time with drawing. One of the examinees had a snack that at first glance looked like a minced pork bar, but unfortunately it turned out to be something unhealthy (at least in the same color as the draft paper).

From my archive – When there was no Photoshop and I didn’t even have a computer, back in the 80s, you still had to deal with copiers and glue. Honestly, that was more fun.
