Science News – According to the Vienna University of Technology, a team from the Institute of Applied Physics has constructed the first and only non-theoretical model that renders the concepts of string theory both vivid and tangible. Unfortunately, half of the engineers involved in building the model became lost within the tangled web of rods. The Institute for Theoretical Physics reports that the amount of energy required to locate and retrieve these missing engineers is so colossal that their loss must simply be accepted—a conclusion which, from the perspective of theoretical physics, is easily reached with a negligible expenditure of energy.
