Jetzt sich aus dem Schatten wagen
und den trägen Leib
zum Wasser tragen
und sich mit Behagen
in das selbige versenken
und an Sprudel sich zu laben
und all jener zu gedenken
die all das nicht haben
Jeder würde jetzt so handeln
Doch eben weil ich frei hab
und nicht handeln muss
bleib ich im Schatten

Afternoon
Now venture out of the shadows
and the sluggish body
carry to the water
and comfortable
sink into the same
and feasting on sparkling water
and to remember all those
who don’t have all of that
Everyone would act like that now
But just because I’m free
and doesn’t have to act
I stay in the shade
