Als Hartmut nach einem furchtbaren Arbeitstag nach Hause kam, rutschte er trotz der Warnung, die er selbst am Gartentor, das ihn wie jeden Tag in die Wade stach, angebracht hatte, nicht nur auf dem unerklärlicherweise stets glitschigen Hund aus, wurde darüberhinaus von einer der Treppenstufen gebissen und vom verschrumpelten Apfelbäumchen angekläfft, sondern, was ihn besonders erboste, vom Bewohner des Häuschens hochkant hinausgeworfen, obwohl er beschwören könnte, dass nur er selbst dieser Bewohner sein konnte, was bedeuten würde, dass Hartmut nicht ganz bei Trost ist oder einfach nur Pech hatte.
