Für junge Leute gibt es nun ein attraktives Angebot des Studentenwerks München. Ein Tiny House wie das Abgebildete kann an jeder freien Fläche einfach befestigt werden. Es sei geplant, ein erstes Dutzend dieser preiswerten kleinen Wohnungen am Olympiaturm anzubringen. Ohne Kenntnisse im Abseilen könne man die Wohnung dann zwar nicht mehr verlassen, aber in der Pandemie hätten die Studenten ja Übung darin bekommen, zuhause zu bleiben. So könnten sie sich auch viel besser auf das Wesentliche konzentrieren.

News from the housing market – There is now an attractive offer from the Munich Student Union for young people. A tiny house like the one shown can easily be attached to any free space. It is planned to install a first dozen of these inexpensive small apartments at the Olympic Tower. Without knowledge of roping you could no longer leave the apartment, but in the pandemic the students had gotten practice in staying at home. This way, they could concentrate much better on the essentials.

Als ich endlich in Urlaub fahren konnte, fühlte ich mich bald schon erholt und erleichtert, wie sich das gehört. Heute jedoch bekam ich einen Anruf von dem Hotel, in dem ich nächtigte, ich möge doch bitte all den Ballast abholen, den ich dort gelassen hätte. In dieser Welt geht leider nichts verloren.

Well – When I was finally able to go on vacation, I soon felt relaxed and relieved, as it should be. Today, however, I got a call from the hotel where I was staying, asking that I please pick up all the ballast that I had left there. Unfortunately, nothing is lost in this world.

Es mag ja sein, dass es Fünf vor Zwölf ist, aber wir haben schon gut gegessen und keine Lust vom Sofa aufzustehen. Mögen sich doch die Hungrigen drum kümmern.

So what – It may be five to twelve, but we’ve already eaten well and don’t feel like getting up from the sofa. Let the hungry take care of it.
