Als Jesus in die Pubertät kam, war es ihm plötzlich peinlich, dass er nicht wie die anderen Kinder allein in die Schule radeln durfte. Seine Mutter bestand aber darauf, dass er unter dem Baldachin ging und die ganze Familie und sämtliche Nachbarn ihn begleiteten und dabei musizierten. Alle hassten es, weil sie so natürlich zu spät in die Arbeit kamen, aber die Mutter drohte ihnen mit Höllenstrafen, also fügten sie sich. Als Jesus dann endlich seinen Hauptschulabschluss und einen Ausbildungsvertrag als Zimmermann hatte, machte er sich Hoffnungen, dass der Quatsch damit endlich vorbei sein würde, aber an seinem ersten Arbeitstag warteten schon wieder alle vor der Tür.
How it really was – When Jesus reached puberty, he suddenly felt embarrassed that he wasn’t allowed to cycle to school alone like the other children. His mother, however, insisted that he walk under the canopy, with the entire family and all the neighbors accompanying him and playing music. Everyone hated it because they would naturally be late for work, but his mother threatened them with hellish punishments, so they complied. When Jesus finally finished secondary school and received an apprenticeship as a carpenter, he hoped that the nonsense would finally be over, but on his first day of work, everyone was already waiting outside.
