In der MUK, der Musik- und Kunst-Privatuni der Stadt Wien findet man eine der Filialen des sogenannten Generationencafés, das alten Leuten mit geringer Pension Beschäftigung gibt und einen Zuverdienst erlaubt. Darum schmeckt der Kuchen wie bei Oma, wobei Leute, deren Oma auch das Teewasser hat anbrennen lassen, vermutlich lieber woanders hingehen würden. Dazu besteht hier aber wirklich kein Grund. Die Einrichtung des Cafés ist laut Selbstbeschreibung „Turbokitsch“. Ob das zutrifft, ist wohl Geschmacksache, aber keineswegs kitschig, sondern schön ist, dass kein Stuhl dem anderen gleicht. Das ist gut so, denn schließlich gilt das auch für die Menschen, die auf den Stühlen sitzen. Nur was den Kuchen betrifft, darf es morgen gerne das Gleiche sein. Und übermorgen auch.
