Ihr Leben lang hatte sie davon geträumt, ein Gondoliere zu sein! Sie hatte sich das Geld für den Kauf einer Gondel vom Schnabel abgespart und stoisch den Spott der Kollegen ertragen, bis das Ziel erreicht war. Sie hatte sogar napolitanische Lieder gelernt, weil die Touristen das erwarteten. Doch bald wollte niemand mehr ihre Dienste in Anspruch nehmen. Man bemängelte, ihr fehle die Kraft, das Ruder richtig zu bedienen, sie lasse sich leicht ablenken und kacke den Kunden auf die Köpfe. Das meiste davon war natürlich Missgunst und Kleingeisterei, aber ihre Enttäuschung war groß und … OMG! Da drüben liegt ein Stück Pizza!

She had dreamed of being a gondolier all her life! She had to scrimp and save her money to buy a gondola and stoically had endured the mockery of her colleagues until the goal was reached. She had even learned Neapolitan songs because the tourists expected that. But soon nobody wanted to take their services anymore. One criticized, she lacked the strength to operate the helm correctly, gets easily distracted and shits the customers on their heads.
