Neulich, am Samstag vor Einführung der Maskenpflicht in Geschäften, bin ich (schon mit Maske) im Supermarkt. Eine Frau mit kleinem Kind (ohne Masken) stellt sich direkt neben mich. Meinen Hinweis auf diese Umstände schmettert sie ab: „Maskenpflicht erst am Montag!“ Als ich sie darüber aufkläre, dass das Virus sich nicht an die Anweisungen der bayerischen Staatsregierung hält und ich es sei, der sie schütze, meint sie, dass so deprimierte Leute wie ich zum Kotzen seien. Nun zweifle ich, ob wir tatsächlich das Richtige tun. Vielleicht versucht die Natur uns zu helfen, all die Vollidioten endlich loszuwerden?

The other day, on the Saturday before the introduction of the mask requirement in shops, I am (already with a mask) in the supermarket. A woman with a small child (without masks) stands right next to me. She dismisses my reference to these circumstances: „Obligation to wear a mask only on Monday!“ When I tell her that the virus does not follow the instructions of the Bavarian state government and that it is I who protect her, she says that depressed people like me suck. Now I doubt whether we are actually doing the right thing. Maybe nature is trying to help us finally get rid of all the idiots?
