Da der Verbraucher immer weniger bereit ist, angemessene Preise zu bezahlen, müssen viele Bauern aufgeben. Inzwischen haben zwar auch die Discounter ihr Sortiment um Bio-Produkte erweitert, doch genügt das nicht, um landwirtschaftliche Betriebe zu erhalten. Oft können die Arbeitskräfte, die es braucht, um die Ernte einzufahren, nicht bezahlt werden. Hier zum Beispiel konnten einige hundert Bäume nicht abgeerntet werden. Die Kühe wurden überreif, fielen zu Boden und verschimmeln dort nun. Eine Schande!
