Neulich in einem Hotel in Hamburg habe ich etwas sehr Widerliches erlebt. Anscheinend hatte ein Gast vor mir abends bei angeschaltetem Licht das Fenster offenstehen lassen, so dass allerlei Getier sich angelockt gefühlt hat. Da es Winter war, kamen zwar keine Mücken ins Zimmer, aber dafür zahlreiche Möwen, die erstaunlich große und ekelhaft gelbe Flecken machen, wenn man sie erschlägt. Und das Hotel hat es nicht für nötig gehalten, den Raum zu säubern! Ekelhaft! Ich weiß auch nicht, wie der Mensch das geschafft hat, denn für fünf Möwen braucht man bestimmt mehr als eine einzige Ausgabe der ZEIT. Für mich ein weiteres Argument gegen auf Papier gedruckte Zeitungen.
Ugh! – I recently experienced something very disgusting in a hotel in Hamburg. Apparently another guest had left the window open in the evening with the lights on, so that all sorts of creatures have been attracted. Since it is winter, there are no mosquitoes, but obviously there have been numerous seagulls, which made surprisingly large and disgusting yellow spots when you kill them. And the hotel didn’t see the need to clean the room! Gross! I don’t know how people managed it either, because you definitely need more than a single issue of the TIMES for five seagulls. For me, this is another argument against newspapers printed on paper.
