Angeblich ist es ja ein Erlebnis von Transzendenz, von oben auf die Welt zu schauen. Vielleicht ist das bei Astronauten tatsächlich so, als Flugpassagier empfand ich es nicht als erhebend, da hatte ich genug damit zu tun, nicht wahnsinnig zu werden. Dagegen ist es erhellend, mal von unten zu gucken, dann sieht man erst, was da so alles in der Gegend herumsteht.
Change of perspective
Supposedly it is an experience of transcendence to look at the world from above. Maybe that’s actually the case with astronauts, as a flight passenger I didn’t find it uplifting, so I had enough to do with not going crazy. On the other hand, it is enlightening to take a look from below, then you can only see what is standing around in the area.
